Digital X-Rays
Advantages
Digital sensors are wired to the X-ray heads to produce instant images on the computer screen. No waiting for the radiographs to process.
Can enhance the image for better patient understanding and enhances the dentists ability to diagnose
Images can be e-mailed to insurance companies and specialists saving time and confusion.
Requires less radiation, as much as %80-90 less radiation. We are in less of a hurry to run out of the room every time you get zapped.

Nitrous Oxide Sedation

We understand that no matter how many diversions or amenities we have at the office, there will still be guests who are more anxious and would rather choose to be sedated for their visit. A high tech office has nitrous sedation (laughing gas) available to take the anxious guest's mind off of the procedure. We also offer oral sedation as an alternative for a deeper level of sedation.
Intraoral Cameras
Intraoral camera technology has brought to the practice of dentistry the ability for patients to see their mouths as dentists see them, up close and in living color.
Advantages
Improved communication with the patients. A picture makes explaining conditions in the mouth so much easier. You don't have to look!
Ability to generate hard copies for insurance. Less likely to deny the claim.

Shade Guide
Pick a shade. Amalgams, frequently called silver fillings, are a thing of the past. Today we do natural looking tooth colored fillings that bond to your teeth. They are made of porcelain or composite, are more conservative, and actually strengthen teeth. Old silver fillings can undermine and weaken teeth causing them to fracture
LED (Light Emitting Diode) Curing Light
Advantages
Cures tooth colored fillings in 20-40 seconds, to as hard as they get, allowing patient to start eating on them right away
Quieter and more efficient than the older halogen lights
Side note: LED curing lights are for bonding dentistry. Bonding dentistry is tooth colored filling and all ceramic crowns and veneers. Olitsky Smiles does not place any silver (mercury containing) fillings. We use the LED to replace existing silver fillings.
