The Art of Smile Enhancement Procedures

The smile is a unique gift we give each other that communicates our health and happiness. We use it both personally and professionally. Everyone's smile is unique and individual. And even if there are some traits of someone else's smile you admire, we can incorporate what you like about into your own, but it will still be yours. There is much art that goes into your smile.

Our goal is to give you a beautiful, yet very natural looking smile. We need to know what looks good. We need to know what is going to look good on your face and with your personality.

The ability to create knock out smiles is not something that should be taken lightly. Most dentists graduate from dental school with little to no knowledge about smile makeovers. It is up to the dentist to take the state of the art postgraduate training that is available. Post graduate education in cosmetics is very expensive and often requires frequent traveling and many hours out of work.

The process of smile makeovers is very technique sensitive and requires expensive materials and technology. The amount of time put into a smile makeover is high compared to many other procedures in the office. Furthermore, cosmetic dentistry is as much an art as it is a science. A good eye for beauty and a creative perspective of what looks good for each individual is as important as advanced procedural education.

You have a choice as to who you will be working with to make a life altering permanent change to your face.

You have a right to choose a dentist who is passionate about creating life-changing smile and has spent hundreds of hour taking advanced education in smile makeovers

Our society is continually pushing the white smile limits. What America deems as natural looking white teeth is 10 shades whiter than it was 10 years ago. That means that if you are not born with unnaturally white teeth, then you will need to do something to get your teeth whiter to compete with today's standards. Some people will be able to whiten with bleaching to get them whiter while others will need to get porcelain veneers to achieve the ultimate white.

It is possible to get a natural look that is white, even by today's standards, but it creates a unique challenge. It is not acceptable to have a fake looking smile. Veneers have gotten bad rap. We have all seen someone who has an obviously done smile. It looks too big for their face or too white or just wrong. The color must match the complexion. The shapes must go with the overall image and complement to color. The smile has to match the personality. It takes the eye of a stylist to understand the intimate relationship between beauty, fashion, and smiles.

Smiles are unique art forms in that they can have amazing beauty as well as possess the facility to carry expression. What an inspiration for my work, that which can be designed to not only hold a beauty unto itself, but also be given life through its transporter. I evaluate smiles as fashion statements that unify with personalities to create living masterpieces.

Out with the square opaque white Chicklets called chompers, it is a new era in cosmetic dentistry. It is the generation of the Smile Stylist.
